Rain outside doesn’t ruin this one — teamLab Planets is the museum you experience barefoot, walking through water, and it’s in Toyosu, Tokyo.
The one thing to know: tickets are timed
Entry works on timed tickets: you pick an entry slot when you buy, and your QR ticket arrives by email. On wet days this is your superpower — while outdoor plans collapse, you already have a guaranteed slot.
- Buy before you head over (slots can sell out on rainy weekends)
- Show the QR code on your phone at entry
- Under-3s are free, and disability discounts are available
How to fit it into a rainy day
| Your situation | Plan |
|---|---|
| Morning rain, free afternoon | Book an afternoon slot now, long lunch first |
| Already in Toyosu / Odaiba area | Check same-day slots on the official page |
| Traveling with kids | Water areas + barefoot walking = usually a hit |
Getting there
The museum is in Toyosu. From Tokyo Station the official site suggests around 15 minutes by taxi; trains also serve the area — check your route on the day.
