teamLab Planets on a rainy day: tickets, timing, and how to plan it

Why Tokyo's barefoot art museum works so well when it rains — and why you should book a time slot before you go.

Rain outside doesn’t ruin this one — teamLab Planets is the museum you experience barefoot, walking through water, and it’s in Toyosu, Tokyo.

The one thing to know: tickets are timed

Entry works on timed tickets: you pick an entry slot when you buy, and your QR ticket arrives by email. On wet days this is your superpower — while outdoor plans collapse, you already have a guaranteed slot.

  • Buy before you head over (slots can sell out on rainy weekends)
  • Show the QR code on your phone at entry
  • Under-3s are free, and disability discounts are available
